Brushed Brass Taps

All 14 brushed brass taps here are from Kartell, in two ranges: Kolt and Ottone. Choosing between the two comes first, because each has its own basin and bath taps.

Kolt has four basin mixers among the examples. There is a mono basin mixer tap, plus mini mono and hi-rise mono versions and a wall mounted basin mixer tap, so one design can serve a cloakroom basin, a countertop bowl or a basin with no tap hole. For the bath, Kolt has a bath filler tap, a bath shower mixer tap and a freestanding bath shower mixer tap.

Ottone appears with a basin mixer tap with waste, a bath filler tap and a bath shower mixer tap. Because the waste comes with that basin mixer, there is one less part to buy.

Points to settle before you order:

• A bath filler only fills the bath, while a bath shower mixer also runs a hand shower.
• The Kolt freestanding mixer stands on the floor, so its supplies have to rise beside the bath.
• A wall mounted basin mixer needs its pipes inside the wall before tiling.
• A mono mixer needs one tap hole in the basin or worktop.
